Let’s really begin eating delicious, nutrient-dense foods and participating in physical activity. I know summer is almost over, but let’s keep up our good habits. Finding the time to exercise can sometimes feel like a challenge, since Americans spend so many hours at work. But now you can bring fitness to the workplace, building up muscle while breaking up the monotony of the day. Dr. Agatston, preventive cardiologist and author of The South Beach Diet, is a big fan of allotting small amounts of time for exercise throughout the day and trying to squeeze in any amount of activityyou can. After all, some exercise is always better than none. Here are ten tips to help you get your workout at work:
1. Park farther away from the office, or get off public transportation at an earlier stop, and walk the rest of the way.
2. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, especially if you’ve got only a few floors to climb.
3. Go for a walk during lunch. One way to do this is to skip your usual salad spot on the corner and find one a little farther away. If you bring your lunch to work, use the time you save buying lunch to take a walk around the block.
5. Deliver messages by hand instead of by phone or e-mail, and walk over to coworkers when you need to chat with them.
6. Instead of meeting in the office or over lunch, take it to the streets (or park) for a walk - or even to the gym.
7. Take frequent breaks to get up and walk around.
8. Find a gym near your workplace and exercise for 20 minutes during your lunch break or just before or after work.
9. Use your headset or cell phone and walk around while talking on the phone.
10. Stretch occasionally while sitting at your desk.

Wouldn’t it be great if by paying for a gym membership or joining the Fit Forever! plan, you’d lose weight and get fit? Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way! You’ve got to live the program to see the results! So, if you’re not seeing the inches and pounds come off, ask yourself the following questions - and be honest!
* Are you following your meal plans exactly as directed?
* Are you drinking enough water every day?
* Are you working out at least three to five times per week?
* When you work out, do you give it all you’ve got?

Now that you’re eating right, here’s a great way to use up that spare sugar in your pantry - make a batch of sugar body scrub! It’s easy! Simply combine 1 cup of cane sugar, 1/2 cup of almond or grape seed oil, and 15 drops of the essential oil of your choice (or skip the fragrance altogether, if you
prefer unscented products). Be sure to store the scrub in an airtight container.
To use the scrub, just scoop up a small amount and gently massage it into your skin for a few seconds in the bath or shower. Massage longer on rough spots, such as heels, elbows, and knees, and then rinse with warm water. Try to avoid using the sugar scrub on irritated skin, including cuts, rashes, or a sunburn. You don’t want to make it worse!

I have a good friend who is suffering from this right now. I told her I’d write about her challenge in my blog.
What causes a weight loss plateau and what to do about it?
Here is an expert from freedieting.com:
Over time our bodies adapt to the lowered calorie level. Our body becomes more efficient at using energy (lowered metabolism), and therefore burns less fat.
