Before I get to the tip… Picture this. It’s a brand new year and you have made the positive decision to begin eating at home but, this one day you realize that you have nothing at home to use to prepare a healthy, fat burning lean body meal.
Are you going to sigh with resignation and give in to your old stand-by easy solution? This health-destroying decision is what most people do when they want
==>> fast food.
That’s right. Most people take the easy path and drive through a fast food joint instead of having a plan and going to the grocery store..
Now, listen, I don’t hold this against you. After all, you have the disability of being sited and I’m blind.
I mean last I checked, drivers ED is closed to blind folk, so, when I get a ride somewhere, I don’t “see” all those easy to access fast food places singing their siren songs of “Supersize Me” … And because I need to shop with a helper, I HAVE to have my grocery list ready…and because it’s in brail, they can’t even “suggest” other things along the way…
…so yes, I have it easy and this time you have the challenge.
My sure fire lean body tip:
Do as I do: Put on the blinders (ignore the fast food billboards) and take off the pounds.
All right. I’m somewhat joking with you. But really. Fast food will not advance your health and lean body goals. You know that. So pretend you are blind and you cannot see the advertising for them. A sure fire way to drive right by the Golden Arches.
Then you need to do another practical activity: The P word. Plan… Yes, do a little bit of planning ahead and know in advance (perhaps on the weekends) what meals you will be preparing. This plan will keep you from making poor choices at the grocery store too.
I know you know this. But, are you doing it?
“But Kathy”. “I have no idea what a healthy meal is”.

Then from the healthy meal ideas you can put together a grocery list. See? You need to have a healthy meal idea. Then, make a grocery list. This list is your protection against the sweet siren songs of the food manufacturers advertising on all the packages and boxes.
As you can see, it’s not hard to get healthy, get lean, and prepare healthy meals at home.
It simply takes a willingness to kill bad habits (drive through fast-food) and cultivate new, better habits that save money and promote weight loss and even longevity.
