About Me
Kathy Strahan is a certified spin instructor, and a lifelong fitness enthusiast.
The main purpose for this blog is to both share valuable fat loss information with you, and to share my progress with fat loss and the creation of the leanest body I can achieve. And, you’ll get to come along on my journey.
And please know that I very much want to hear from you.
I want to know where you are right now, and where you want to go in terms of your fat loss, your life’s goals, everything!
I’ll be sharing information gathered from two well-known and highly respected fitness experts. I’ll also have great weight loss an fat loss tips from other reliable sources to help all of us on our journey to getting, and staying lean for life.
My husband and I have been happily married for 20 years. We reside in Southern California—about 20 minutes north of Disney Land. I mention this geographic detail to indicate that we do not live in LA.
We have no children by choice. One of the corner stones of our marriage is our love for staying in shape. In fact, we love vacations that include intense exercise such as our cross-country ski trips.
It’s fantastic!
We ski about three hours a day. Go back to the hotel and then in the evening we can eat what we want and do it guilt free because of our high level of activity level during the day.
Last year I got certified as a spin instructor—a group exercise I absolutely love!
So, I’m very active as an instructor, and as a student who takes about four spin classes every week.
Plus a little resistance training, and a pretty healthy diet.
Yet, although I’m about 115 pounds at 5/2 I also know my body fat levels are very average. Probably around 22%.
I’m slim, but not super lean.
I mean, I certainly do not have a real tight tummy, and I never have. Even when I was very young.
So, I’ve been reading two very easy to follow, step-by-step books with great workouts and fantastic nutritional guidelines that all the fitness models and body builders use to get and stay lean.
Why should we take the advice from these two fitness groups?
First, natural body builders (those who do not take strength enhancing drugs) are the leanest athletes in the world.
Okay, we do not have to be a body builder to learn an adopt their highly effective fat loss and work out strategies.
Ladies, please be aware that we cannot gain bulk.
And, fitness models must learn how to stay lean, and also be able to really get shredded very quickly for shoots, and do it in a healthy way.
BTW—These two Authors, Craig Ballantyne, and Tom Venuto are scrupulous about safe fat loss. Neither one teach quick fix results.
So, that’s a bit about me.
Please enjoy!
