This special beat the heat treat will come to the rescue of so much of the U.S. which is broiling right now with record high temps.
Watermelon Slushie Recipe:
Truth is that slushies and slurpees can be the downfall of anyone trying to get a lean body and keep it for life, right?
They have a ton of sugar and have no nutritional value. So drive past the convenience store and head to the produce section at the local grocery store.
Yep… Grab a seedless watermelon and when you get home, slice it up into chunks and place in a freezer safe container and freeze it.
Give the fruit several hours to freeze, (4 or 5) then mash the frozen watermelon with a potato masher and serve immediately.
Can you taste it already? So nice and refreshing with all the goodness of the vitamins in watermelon.
Cherry Sorbet Recipe:
You can buy a pint of sorbet but it will likely have too much sugar and processed additives. Forget it. Make this version. It’s delicious.
Combine frozen (organic) cherries,
and 3 TBS of greek yogurt (to taste)
a couple of tablespoons of lime juice
and some liquid stevia (to taste).
Now use a food processor or blender and voila! You have a delicious refreshing low fat dessert. It’s easily less than 100 calories. But whose counting?
Plus you know exactly what went in to it… unlike all store bought dessert items.
Dieting doesn’t have to be a deprivation drag. You can find a variety of fun and healthy foods that satisfy your sweet tooth, but still help you meet your weight loss goals.
For instance, do you think you have to give up chocolate while losing weight to get that lean body?
