Cheating Secrets
If you’re like me, there are times we just have to indulge a little. You know what I’m talking about. Baby carrots are just not going to do it. There are times when we simply must satisfy those cravings so that we don’t binge on something we really shouldn’t binge on.
What’s the answer? Cheat a little! Here’s where cheating really does work for some of us.
When it comes to our intake of food, cheating keeps us sane. There’s so question that we as humans need a little sugar high once in a while. Let’s just let this be okay and get smart about it. Below I found some fun ways to help with this need to cheat a little.
If you are one that has to cheat every now and then you are going to be so happy to have a little cheat sheet for you to follow.
FYI– These foods are roughly 200 calories. The alternative choices are roughly the same calories, but, healthier for us.
1. If you crave chocolate then skip the 8 Hershey kisses and eat 50 chocolate raisins because they have protein, calcium and fiber. Yeah, I know. By the time we count 50 of these guys out we probably won’t want any–or sneak a few while we’re counting…
2. If you crave fruity then skip the Starburst candies and instead eat 2.5 packs of a fruit snack because they contain Vitamins C, A, and E.
3. If you crave nutty then skip the 3 snack size snickers and instead eat 20 peanut M&M’s because they contain twice the calcium.
So if you just have to indulge on something that isn’t a part of your weight loss program try and choose a comparable food that will provide more nutrients and not just empty calories.
