You may know that TV chef and cookbook author Paula Deen admitted last week that she has type 2 diabetes.
What is so striking to us fitness folks is that both she and her crew are utterly clueless about how she developed the disease, and what important dietary changes she needs to make right now. I wrote

Today I want to give you another resource you can use to help you with your healthy eating which is the only way and the best way to both prevent and to reverse diabetes. BTW, this is the view held by all the top nutritionists like DR mercola, by DR Oz, and by my friend and nutrition coach, Isabel De Los Rios.
Type 2 diabetes can be prevented and even reversed if you make some changes to your eating plan and in your exercise routine.
The topic of diabetes is very personal since type 2 diabetes pops up strong in my Hispanic family tree. My older brother was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, with serious life threatening kidney complications. Today he has all of this under control through healthier eating and exercise.
and, last year at a family wedding, one of my nieces from my maternal side talked with me about her recent type 2 diabetes diagnosis.
BTW, I will not go in to diets for diabetics who have the early childhood type 1 diabetes. This kind of diabetic needs to use insulin shots and has a much more brittle metabolism. In any case, if you do have diabetes, you must consult with your doctor regarding any diet or exercise program.
What is a good diet for diabetics?
I’m glad you asked. If you are a type 2 diabetic, or know someone who is, you can take courage regarding your ability to return your metabolism to a healthy level. I’ve personally seen success with my older brother’s diabetic symptoms, and I know of other great success stories as well.
A diabetic diet is simply a healthy eating plan that is based on==>> whole unprocessed food.
This is a way we all need to eat. It’s the kind of eating that helped my brother with his diabetes, and it’s the way you need to eat to get a lean body and
