The fat loss dessert recipe today is an unbelievable chocolate macaroon cookie.

My friend Helen, The Dessert Angel calls this a Chocoroon!

Yep, you guessed right…it is a macaroon with CHOCOLATE – thus we call it a Chocoroon…

They are so delicious, and super easy to make.

As you know, one of my requirements for a new recipe is that it be super easy. I’m no expert cook. And you don’t need to be either.

Chocoroon Recipe:

These 100 calorie cookies are gluten free, dairy free, low fat, low calorie and taste just as good if not BETTER than store bought cookies and are WAY healthier!

Try these out today!

Servings: 10 macaroons (3 macaroon per serving)

Ingredients

• ¾ cup (unsweetened) coconut flakes
• 2 pinches stevia
• 2 tbsp brown rice flour
• 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips
• 1 ½ egg whites
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 1/8 tsp salt
• ½ tsp orange zest

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325F
2. In a medium bowl, combine coconut, stevia, flour, orange peel, and salt
3. Add egg whites and vanilla and stir until combined
4. Stir in dark chocolate chips
5. Drop small mounds of mixture onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper
6. Bake at 325F for 12-15 minutes or until cookies are light brown
7. Transfer to a wire rack and cool completely
