If you look closely at the label, you will see ingredients, and you will see that your cereal actually contains huge AMOUNTS OF SUGAR. And with all this extra sugar, your body is storing it as FAT. Have steel cut oatmeal instead if you want cereal. Top it with all kinds of yummy options like berries, organic wild honey, stir in some healthy whey protein or greek yogurt, add in unsweetened raisins if you wish, even add some fat burning yummy spice like cinnamon.

You really don’t’ know what you’re getting and this choice is likely what is keeping you fat. Also consider that most commercial muffins are 2-3 servings instead of 1 serving. Most muffins are way over 400 calories with belly bulging results to show for it. It’s not worth it.

BTW, I do this for my husband. He loves steel cut oatmeal so I prepare enough for the week and send with him to work a serving in a microwave safe bowl he can reheat at work. He stays lean all year round because he’s not having junky fast food breakfasts or high sugar cereals. He certainly does not have low fat because he stirs in a scoop of whey protein and he has some berries and a tsp of coconut oil to top his breakfast oatmeal.
