What? I know this is shocking for some…
I mean. Were we not told over and over by the “dairy industry” that “milk does a body good”?
Here’s the deal…Isabel spends a lot of time in her DSP healthy eating plan teaching us how regular commercial dairy is NOT doing our body good. If fact, just the opposite!

How to carefully choose your Dairy
Let me offer a thumbnail sketch regarding commercial dairy. Most of us enjoy dairy like milk, yogurt, cheese, ice cream etc. But, if you are still using commercially produced, pasteurized dairy products you are unknowingly hurting your weight loss and lean body goals. And worse, you are hurting your health because commercial dairy is loaded with dangerous chemicals (Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone (RBGH)) which are byproducts of the feedlot system in which milk cows are living. (if you can call it living)
I won’t spend time giving you the whole picture but let me say that in order to make the cows produce more milk they are given dangerous hormone stimulators (such as RBGH) to promote this. Then they are given high levels of antibiotics to keep them from getting sicker than they already are. And of course these hormones and antibiotics get in to the milk we buy at the store and then in to our body systems which creates tons of dangerous, internal inflammation and digestive distress.
Even if you do not have any overt symptoms, you may be having a hard time losing weight. And the dairy products you are consuming could be the cause.
If you consume dairy on a regular basis, try to buy
==>> raw (unpasteurized) certified organic products.
If you can’t obtain raw dairy products, purchase the next best thing: certified organic. Although the milk may be pasteurized, homogenized, or both, it
won’t contain antibiotics, hormones, or pesticide residues.
If you can’t obtain or afford raw or organic dairy products, avoid dairy altogether.
According to nutrition experts like Isabel, most of the calcium in dairy is not absorbed by the body anyway, so
dairy is not necessary for a healthy diet. Obtain calcium from other sources, such as leafy green vegetables, broccoli, sardines (with bones), and salmon.
So there you have it. Good reasons to avoid regular, commercial dairy, and some great alternatives to unhealthy dairy sources with which you are familiar.
In order to get a lean body for life and to reverse or prevent serious health issues we all need to learn to eat more healthfully and create our own good health…
