Lowfat Apple Pecan Waffle Recipe

Makes 1 waffle

This super-easy, super-delicious waffle is one of my favorites. Did you know that research has shown that ordinary cinnamon is anything but? It can control blood pressure and blood sugar, so sprinkle away!

Ingredients:

1 whole-grain low-fat frozen toaster waffle
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/3 cup light vanilla yogurt
2 tablespoons coarsely chopped pecans
Pinch of ground cinnamon

To Make:

Toast the waffle and transfer to a plate. Spread with the applesauce and spoon the yogurt on top. Sprinkle with the pecans and dust with cinnamon. Eat right away.
